Experience a 5-day sea kayaking journey along Crete’s wild southern coastline. This expedition links quiet coves, long stretches of remote beaches, rugged cliffs and small coastal villages — with one day dedicated to exploring the iconic Samaria National Park region.
Designed for active travelers, the trip combines full-day paddling, optional short hikes, and relaxed coastal evenings. Enjoy clear waters, diverse landscapes, and the feeling of traveling through one of Crete’s most untouched coastlines.

Day 1 — Paleochora → Elafonisi → Paleochora
Distance: ~15 km
Coastal paddling to the white sands and turquoise waters of Elafonisi. Time for swimming and exploration before paddling back to Paleochora.
Overnight: Paleochora
Day 2 — Paleochora → Lissos → Sougia
Distance: ~20 km
Paddle along rugged coastline to the ancient site of Lissos. Break for swimming and exploration before continuing to Sougia.
Overnight: Sougia
Day 3 — Sougia → Domata Beach → Agia Roumeli
Distance: ~15 km
A beautiful coastal section past remote Domata Beach. Clear waters, pine forests and dramatic gorges along the route to Agia Roumeli.

Day 4 — Samaria Gorge Hike
Hike from Agia Roumeli into the famous Samaria Gorge. Explore the abandoned village of Samaria before returning to the coast.

Day 5 — Agia Roumeli → Marmara → Loutro → Sweet Water Beach → Sfakia
Distance: ~16 km
Final coastal paddle with highlights including marble caves at Marmara, the whitewashed village of Loutro and the iconic Sweet Water Beach before arriving in Sfakia.

Transfers & Meeting Point
• Start point: Sfakia (Day 1) — arrive by early bus or private transfer
• End point: Sougia (Day 3) — return transport available on request

• Water can be purchased at Sfakia, Loutro, Agia Roumeli and Sougia
• Your guide will remind you to refill every morning
